Edmonton symposium to focus on workplace mental health

When people think of making a workplace safe, the physical side of the equation is often what first comes to mind. Psychological safety can be just as important, and an Edmonton workshop will provide an insight into this area.

Under the province’s Health and Safety Act, employers are responsible for the psychological safety of their employees while they are at work, but not everyone has a clear understanding of what that means. The symposium, which has been organized by Harmony in the Workplace, will be a day filled with learning and it is intended for HR personnel, union reps, organizational leaders and anyone else who feels it can benefit them.

The event will take place throughout the day, and will include presentations, discussion and small group sessions. Participants will walk away with a better understanding of what they can do to create workplaces that promote good mental health using a variety of simple strategies.

Tickets for this function are $206.85, with lunch and an afternoon nutrition break included in the registration fee. Giveaways, including promotional Pens, for this type of function can be prepared by area Print shops, and these can be given to each attendee.

Coast West Edmonton Hotel and Conference Centre has been booked to host this learning opportunity on September 24th. Any questions should be directed at the event organizers.
