It has been said that military families are the invisible strength behind the uniform, and an organization that supports them will benefit from a golf tournament on the way for Edmonton.
The Base Commander’s Charitable Golf Tournament will tee off in early September, and it will be held at the Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf Course. The proceeds from the outing will be donated to the local Military Family Resource Centre ( MFRC), and will help to fund its programming and other supports.
The play will follow a four person Texas Scramble format, and the registration will open in the early morning. The player packages include the 18 holes of goal as well as lunch, and prize draws have also been planned. Awards will be presented at the end of the day. Foursome, civilian and military, veteran/ military family tickets are all available, and the price starts at $95.55 each.
Golf tourneys are a popular choice when it comes to fundraising events. Organizers often choose to supply the registrants with swag such as printed balls, hand towels, visors, shirts and other Corporate Gifts to thank the players for their support. These will be on offer at local printing services companies.
The Base Commander's Golf Tournament will hit the links on September 6th. Registration will open at 8:30 am, and the day will wrap up at 4:00 pm.
