Edmonton residents invited to show they care

A not-for-profit group that gives people the chance to do their part to help others has sent out an invitation to those living in Edmonton to lend a hand.

The group, 100 People Who Care, will be hosting a fundraising event that is designed to be very simple. A group of 100 people who have agreed to donate will sign up to attend a short meeting with a goal of raising as much as $10,000. The meetings are open to everyone, and there is no charge to attend.

During the event, the recipient of the funds that were collected last quarter will give a brief presentation about how they were used, and those who come out will vote on which charity will receive the monies raised during the current meeting. This decision will be made after presentations by the groups who are seeking support. A company that provide printing services will be able to provide organizations such as this with everything they need to make their fundraisers a success.

The session will take place on August 30 at The Neighbour Centre, located at 7221 104 St NW. Those who are interested in taking part or simply finding out more are asked to register ahead of time on the 100 People Who Care website, as this will help to ensure that enough seating will be available for all those who come out.
