Edmonton festive attraction to return for another season

Residents of Edmonton who could use a break this winter are encouraged to stop by a local botanical garden for some relaxation and rejuvenation.

The Kurimoto Japanese Garden in the University of Alberta’s Botanic Gardens will be brightly lit by flickering candles once again this year for its “Luminaria” event. Anyone who would like to light a candle in memory of a loved one will be invited to do so in the “Memory Lane” portion of the display, and the Northern Light Dining experience is also expected to make its return.

Guests at the function will be offered cups of apple cider to enjoy while they stroll along the paths, and there will also be singers providing acapella entertainment. Everyone can gather by the bonfire to warm up, and they may even be lucky enough to spot a “snow sprite” hidden among the glittering ice sculptures.

This type of annual event can help to make the holidays special, and welcome Banners can be prepared that fit in well with the occasion. A banner printing company will be able to supply these customized items, and they can be made for a single function or to be reused.

Luminaria will be open to the public throughout the month of December. The planners have stated that COVID-19 prevention measures will be in place throughout the festivities.
