Edmonton festival to focus on feline friends

An Edmonton event will be putting felines in the spotlight and is designed for local cat lovers to gave fun while raising funds for a variety of area animal rescues.

The Edmonton International Cat Festival is the province’s biggest celebration of felines and the people who love them. It was the first expo-style function in the country, and since its inception in 2014, it has been able to raise more than $100,000 for animal charities.

During the festival, there will be cats on hand that are looking for a “purr-fect” forever home, and the Main Stage will see an assortment of cat care experts sharing their knowledge with the crowd. Vendors of feline products will be set up in the market area, and celebrity cats will be on hand to meet their fans. This is just the start of the activities, and the organizers explained they have been hard at work at putting together a memorable experience.

To help make this celebration a huge success, the planners have created several sponsorship opportunities. Sponsorship packages can be prepared to give to any business that would like to support this sort of occasion, and can include materials created by a printing services company.

The festival will be welcoming cat lovers on May 30th. The MacEwan University - Robbins Health Learning Centre will be the venue for the occasion.
