Sir Winston Churchill Square has become a centre for Edmonton events, and this New Year’s Eve, it will kick off 2024 with some festive fun.
The venue will serve as the location for the city’s annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks and Festival, which tends to attract lots of revellers to the location. There will be two fireworks displays on offer – an earlier display, so kids can be part of the fun, along with a midnight show to give the adults a chance to celebrate.
The festivities will get started in the early evening, and the programming is on offer at no charge. Members of the public can take in live performances, listen to music and go skating, and skate rental will be at no cost for the activity. The first fireworks show will begin at 9:00 pm, and the second will take to the sky when the clock strikes 12:00 am. Both shows are to be around 12 minutes long.
There may need to be some road closures to accommodate the activity. Further details about this will be posted online in due course. Stationery printers can prepare maps of a community that show when and where an activity like this will be taking place, which may be helpful in ensuring they run smoothly.
Edmonton will be bidding a fond farewell to 2023 with this festival and fireworks displays on December 31st. The fun will get started at 6:30 pm.
