Making the transition to adulthood may not always be easy, and an Edmonton organization will be running an intensive, two-day workshop for parents of kids in this age group.
Parents and caregivers of young people from the ages of 16 to 20 may benefit from the “Transition Planning to Adulthood Weekend Blitz”, which is an initiative of Gateway Association. It may be especially useful to special needs families.
The activity will explore an assortment of areas, recognizing that kids with special needs often grow up to be adults with special needs. The parents will learn about support that can be found in the city and how to help their adult child navigate them, as well as how to be an engaged community member. They will discover how they can encourage their child to achieve their life goals, and certificates will be presented to those who participate in both days.
A supportive family can help young people smoothly transition to adulthood, and a workshop like this may arm them with tips and knowledge they may find helpful. Learning materials for such an activity can be prepared by a professional printing services company.
Gateway Association has scheduled this intensive learning opportunity to begin on April 14th, and it will continue on throughout April 15th. The venue for the session will be 10941 120 St NW.
