Time to say goodbye to winter in Edmonton
Residents of Edmonton who have grown weary of the cold, dark days of winter are invited to bid it a fond goodbye during the city’s third annual Farewell to Winter Patio Party, which will be taking place in eateries across the city.
A number of restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, and other hospitality establishments have chosen to take part, and will be offering special early patio service for those who would like to enjoy their meal in the fresh air. The patios will be set up so their patrons can enjoy a snack, meal or drink in the warm daytime sunshine or the brisk chill of an early spring evening.
Some will have extra heating available to take the chill off, or patrons can always wear a warm coat or even bring along a blanket to snuggle up under. In order to help make the most of the occasion, some of the participating establishments will even be offering special menu items to help usher in the season for outdoor eating. Lamination can be used to protect the menus from the weather, allowing them to be used over and over.
