STARS lottery sells out quickly
The 20th annual fundraising lottery for STARS has sold out long before the sales deadline. Tickets actually sold out prior to the early bird deadline for sales even arriving.
The popular sweepstakes are held each year to raise funds to support the STARS air ambulance program.
The lottery has now sold out completely for 20 consecutive years and continues to be a key source of revenue for the vital program. On average, the STARS air ambulance takes to the sky four times every day, heading to hospitals in rural Alberta and providing emergency services at the scenes of incidents in the surrounding areas.
Ticket purchasers not only support a very worthy cause by helping to keep the air ambulance flying but also have an opportunity to win any one of 3,500 prizes with a combined value of $5.6m, including a dream home near Edmonton. Additional properties in Calgary, Red Deer, and Lethbridge are also on the prize list.
Brochure printing services took care of generating effective promotional materials, which were distributed to homes throughout the province well in advance of the early bird sales date. These informed Albertans of the lottery’s purpose and detailed the long list of prizes on offer.
