Hike to explore Edmontons wild side

Robert Dale Rogers will be leading a hike that will wind its way through Mill Creek Ravine, and as the group strolls along, he will point out these natural healers along the way.

This Edmonton walk, which is being offered thanks to the support of The Local Good, will explore how, even in urban spaces, there is still a place for the natural world. Rogers will be offering information about the plants and fungi the group encounters on the outing.

As many people work during the day, this event will be offered during evening so that as many people can participate as possible. It will be held whether it is sunny or raining, and the participants are reminded to bring along rain gear should it be wet. They are also advised to bring bug repellent, a notebook and camera, and to wear comfortable and sturdy walking shoes.

This evening plant walk is one of a series to be offered throughout the summer. To thank the public for their support, anyone who Tweets the organizers with details about their experience will qualify to win a special prize at the end of the summer. A company that prepares Corporate Gifts will have lots of ideas for printed products that can be offered as a premium to the participants in this sort of event.

This unique opportunity to learn about the wild side of medicinal plants will be offered on August 7. The group will meet at 9555 Mill Creek Park before setting out.
