Small-scale growers often make good use of local farmers’ markets, and one that is planned for Edmonton will feature locally grown haskap berries.
Rosy Farms is a local grower of these berries. While they may not be all that well known in North America, these members of the honeysuckle family are popular in other parts of the world, and shoppers at the Farmers’ Market hosted at Edmonton’s Grand Market will be able to give them a try.
Rosy Farms will be onsite at the event, and the products it will have on offer will depend upon the time in the season. The freshly picked berries will be available in July and early August, and frozen fruit and juice will be sold for as long as supplies last. Haskap ice cream and award-winning jam will also feature in the product line-up, and anyone who would like to visit the farm’s u-pick will be able to do so.
Farmers and other growers who would like to promote themselves and their products can count on being able to source a variety of marketing items and other printing services from local Print shops.
Rosy Farms will have its booth set up at the Farmers’ Market at 108 Avenue and 124 Street, Edmonton on Thursdays and Sundays from May 12th to October 2nd. Everyone is invited to stop by.
