Edmonton residents invited to have their say on community project

The city of Edmonton has been working hard to develop a renewal plan for the Eastwood/Elmwood Park area. It is ready to present the public with its refined neighbourhood design for the space, and area residents are being offered an opportunity to have their say.

A public feedback session will be taking place this November that will address plans for the neighbourhood, and the planners explained that this is an important step of the renewal process. There are several topics that will be presented at the drop-in event.

Along with the refined neighbourhood design, the organizers of the function have included details about a variety of options being considered when it comes to sidewalk reconstruction and street lighting. The plan is for the renewal process to begin in 2020, and this event will help to ensure it meets this goal.

By giving people a chance to share their views on a project, this sort of function can turn members of the public into stakeholders. Making sure there is a supply of promotional Pens and feedback Forms will make it easy for those who choose to do so to leave any feedback they wish, and these are available from an area printer.

The city will be hosting the event on November 7. It will be offered at 11803 86 Street NW and will be open from 4:30 until 7:00 pm.
