Edmonton market to help animals in need
Edmonton’s Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS) will soon be giving the city an opportunity to score some savings while helping to bring homeless animals in from the cold.
The group has organized its Spring Market, which tends to be a very popular event. There will be offerings for both two and four-legged shoppers, and the planners have stated in the event listing that they wish to thank the title sponsor, Central Sewing Machines, for its support.
The list of vendors taking part already numbers in the dozens, and as the more, the merrier, additional small businesses are welcome to apply. A pet portrait station will be set up so that the function’s furry, feathery or even scaly guests can have their picture taken for a donation of $20. This does not have to be reserved ahead of time.
Pop-up community markets such as this give members of the public an opportunity to save money and discover new small businesses, all while raising money for a cause. A poster printing company will be able to aid in promoting such an activity to the area.
