Downtown Edmonton’s fun-loving nature will be on full display during a brand-new festival for the community.
Sustainival, which is billed as being the world's very first green carnival, is on the way for the city’s downtown. According to organizers, it will be a carnival-style event for the whole family. It has partnered with local organizations as well as the community’s corporate side, with all ages welcome to enjoy the spectacle.
The plans for the four days are packed with fun, and a full-size carnival is just one of the attractions it will offer. Also on offer will be spectacular displays, a vendor area and hands-on activities; one of these will see participants take part in scavenger hunt that will introduce them to environmentally related topics. As its name suggests, the focus of the occasion will be sustainability. While admission and the programming are free, tickets must be purchased for the midway rides.
An event that has an environmental focus may be a good fit for the services of local Print shops. Vendors like this can supply materials that have been crafted using recycled materials and these, in turn, may be recycled themselves when they are no longer needed.
This four-day celebration of the fun of being sustainable will be set up in Fan Park @ ICE District. It will run from June 4th until June 8th. It can be reached by public transit, although paid parking will be available. Get a Free Quote for Print
