Edmonton entrepreneurs come together to improve the economy

Towards the end of November, the Edmonton Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Luncheon will take place at the Westin Edmonton. Tickets are $49.95 for Edmonton Chamber of Commerce members or $69.95 for non-members.

The luncheon will feature Dr. Dan Isenberg, a Babson Global Professor of Entrepreneurship Practice, who will be discussing how to build a successful ‘entrepreneurial ecosystem’, allowing entrepreneurs to work together to improve the local economy. Entrepreneurs are often seen as individuals who are working for themselves, but a network of business owners exists and its members have much to offer to each other and the community.

Dr. Isenberg will also discuss that entrepreneurs are finding new opportunities and new ways to make money through this difficult economic period. He will share the best practices of some of the most successful entrepreneurs and show how all businesspeople can learn from them to get by. It should certainly get business owners thinking about doing business in an entirely new way.

This will also be an excellent networking opportunity for Edmonton entrepreneurs and other businesspersons. Those attending will no doubt be arranging their business card printing ahead of time so that they have an ample supply of cards to give out to their peers. It will give them the start of the ecosystem Dr. Isenberg will be discussing by finding out what each of them can do for the other.

It is scheduled for November 30 from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm. Call 780-426-4620 to find out more.
