Edmonton activity to support small businesses

March in Edmonton can sometimes seem very long, but an event is in the works that may just add some extra excitement to the month.

Norwood Legion will be welcoming a wide variety of small businesses for a craft and vendor market, and it will give the community an easy way of supporting these companies. Both parking and admission are free of charge, and the first 25 attendees through the door on the Saturday will have their name entered in the door prize draw.

During the function, which will take place over two days, the public can browse through tables manned by a variety of local small businesses. These include crafters, artisans and other makers, as well as direct sales representatives. Young entrepreneurs from across the city are encouraged to book a table, and the function will also offer even split and meat draws, which will be organized by the legion branch.

Pop-up markets are one way an organization can lend a hand to an area's smaller companies. A poster printing company will be able to offer a variety of ways of promoting a function like this to the surrounding community.

The March Craft & Vendor Market will be open to Edmonton shoppers on March 12th and 13th. It will open at 11:00 am on both days, and it is set be held at 11150 82 Street.
