Early in 2021, the MSO attracted a sell-out crowd to its family friendly concert with its performances of short works and excerpts from popular works, including much-loved contemporary and classical pieces, and the orchestra's return has been long-awaited, according to Mayor of Wyndham City Peter Maynard.
In a statement, conductor of the orchestra Benjamin Northey encouraged residents to take up the opportunity to attend the concert, which was on their doorstep. He said:
“Whether you’re a lover of orchestras or brand new to classical music, this concert will be a fun and engaging way to experience the magic of the MSO live in concert. What a way to start the new year!”
Community-based events, such as the MSO concert, have often been widely advertised via flyer-printing campaigns across the city.
On their way to the Wyndham Park venue, locals are also urged to explore their own city's restaurants and cafes and make the most of the many takeaway or dine-in opportunities, or even grab a hamper and partake in a picnic on the lawns while watching the concert.
The performances are part of a Wyndham City entertainment and music extravaganza, which will run for two days and will feature six events that are free to attend. Show tickets are available now.
