Distinguished from similar activity centres located in Melbourne’s west by its unique natural assets, the area enjoys a prime position overlooking the Werribee River.
In November last year, works began to redevelop the green space as part of a $13 million project being undertaken by Wyndham City, bolstered by a $3.2m state government contribution from its Growing Suburbs Fund.
According to the Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Mia Shaw, the work is on track for completion in late 2019. She said that the park’s transformation is set to deliver a space which could be enjoyed by everyone within the community, adding:
“This $13 million Wyndham City project will see the park become home to a large space to host events, play spaces, seating, rest areas, toilets, barbecues, shelters, and drinking fountains.”
The mayor also said that locals will soon see the completion of an adventure play tower and by November, the installation of artwork, which is set to be a key feature of the park. City’s creating new developments often use graphic design to create designs, which can then be showcased to the local community using brochure printing services.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
