Autumn outdoor family fun comes to Werribee

Wyndham City Council’s Parklife festival, which offers live entertainment and outdoor movies for families, is set to return to Werribee in April.

The Werribee weekend closes the five-week event. The Saturday programme will showcase children’s musical and theatrical acts the Kazoos, The Mexican Music Man and The Bandicoots Show, followed by 2016 animated movie Sing on Sunday, which features the voices of such headliners as Matthew McConoughey and Reese Witherspoon and more than 60 songs, many from famous artists.

Wyndham City Council is running Parklife to encourage community interaction in a COVID-safe way. Acknowledging the impact of the pandemic, Councillor Marcel Mahfoud said that he hoped residents across Wyndham will take the opportunity to attend the event and have fun, adding:

“We know how much you have missed all the special events and activities that have had to be cancelled over the past year due to COVID.”

Graphic design is often used to promote events like this, often featuring candy colours and whimsical figures to convey the organiser’s intention for family friendly fun.

The festival launched in March at Quay Boulevard in Werribee South. The Werribee weekend is set to be held on April 24 and 25 in Riverwalk Village Park, which boasts exhibition gardens and a water play area. Parklife is free and tickets will not be required.
