Winter Arts Festival presents live music in Narre Warren Library

As part of the three month long Winter Arts Festival, several libraries in the City of Casey including Narre Warren, Cranbourne, Hampton Park and Endeavour Hills, will be presenting live music this weekend.

The first of these events will take place at the Narre Warren library on Sunday, June 11, when A J Leonard and Jenny Rowlands perform their special blend of music from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

Popular Melbourne musician A J Leonard – singer, songwriter and master of several instruments – is best known for playing and promoting the ukulele. Leonard credits a 2006 trip to Hawaii with the inspiration to concentrate on this instrument, and he is now regarded as one of its best players – not only in Australia but worldwide.

His partner Jenny Rowlands – a classical cellist who trained at the VCA – shares AJ’s love of music. Together the duo have created a well-known local brand, performing as well as holding workshops at many festivals.

This event is free, and there is no need to book.

The Winter Arts Festival, which runs through June, July and August, is sponsored annually by the City of Casey. Many events are certain to provide local printing opportunities for Flyers and Brochures. Details of other events in this year’s programme can be found on the City of Casey website.
