ABS recently carried out the National Health Survey and their findings revealed that in the course of a year, 14% of participants experienced anxiety and 6% of those asked suffered from depression. To help combat issues such as these, Well-being workshops have been developed in order to help change the way people think about their lives and these exciting workshops are coming to Narre Warren.
Organisers of these workshops suggest mental disorders such as anxiety and depression can in some cases be avoided or improved upon by altering the way we look at ourselves, our current situation and the future that is ahead of us. This is what these workshops have been designed to do through the providing of practical ways for us to think about our lives in a more healthy and positive way. Workshops of this kind often rely on discussion and a range of materials provided by printing services in order to teach their information. The people of Narre Warren are being encouraged to come and see for themselves how helpful this kind of training can actually be and places in these workshops are expected to be in great demand.
The Healthy Thinking Well-being Workshop will be held on Monday 19th March 2012 at the Narre Community Learning Centre and The Healthy Expectations Well-Being Workshop will be held one week later on 26th March 2012 in the same location. Tickets and more information are now available by visiting the www.10ten.com.au website.
