Music in the park is set to keep weekend crowds from Narre Warren and surrounding areas entertained throughout the summer months.
Wilson Botanic Park in Berwick, with its relaxing ambience and tranquil atmosphere, will host the Saturday Night Live at the Park event. Mayor of the City of Casey Cr Sam Aziz says it will be ideal for all age groups and family members.
Signs and banner printing will ensure residents have no trouble locating the venue, which the mayor said will host a top lineup of talented artists and musicians.
The performance programme will incorporate everything from bands to solo acoustic artists presenting a range of genres to suit all musical tastes, he said.
Sinatra, Latin, and swing classics will be featured throughout the weekend performances, along with covers dating back to the ‘80s and ‘90s.
Mayor Aziz said shows would be spread across the park depending on the anticipated crowd or type of music, providing a great opportunity to make use of a variety of settings and spaces on offer at the park.
He said taking into account both the music weekends and the Friday night Sunset Cinema Series, Wilson Botanic Park has entertainment on weekends covered.
The Music in the Park weekends will run until March 19 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and Mayor Aziz says families should make the most of the exquisite entertainment and balmy summer nights on offer and make a picnic of it.
