Narre Warren to offer new year fitness opportunity

A community run will be taking place at a Narre Warren park in the new year, and is inviting those of all abilities to come and take part.

Residents of all ages in Narre Warren seeking a healthy start to 2024 will be able to participate in a community focused outdoor event next February. Dubbed the “Berwick Springs Parkrun”, the Saturday running event is just five kilometres in length and begins at 8am. A recurring event, runners are encouraged to keep coming back and improving the time it takes them to complete the course.

Local running groups often look to dedicated flyer printing services to create colourful leaflets they can distribute at public hubs like libraries, schools, and community centres to get the word out and encourage participation.

Entering the run is completely free, but all wishing to take part for the first time must register. Runners are issued with a unique barcode that they can Print out and bring to each event. Barcodes are scanned as runners set off and arrive at the finish line to collect their time.

The event is social, and runners often enjoy a post parkrun coffee together at the Mocha Mojo Café, located in the Eden Rise Shopping Centre at 1 O’Shea Road.

The Berwick Springs Parkrun will be held on Saturday, February 3. The run will start at the Corner of Berwick Springs Promenade in Narre Warren South.
