A networking event promoting safe use of technology for schools is coming soon to Narre Warren.
The eSmart Network Meeting will invite educators and eSmart Coordinators from local schools to connect. eSmart Schools works to support educational institutions, helping them develop a working culture that promotes technology use that is always responsible, safe and smart.
The event is presented by the Alannah & Madeline Foundation. Founded by Walter Mikac AM, the organisation’s Logo Design features artwork by his daughter, Alannah, who the foundation is partly named after. The drawing of Allanah and her sister Madeline was accompanied by a message “I am special because I care for others”, which became an inspiration for the foundation and embodies its vision that “every child will live in a safe and supportive environment”.
Those attending will get the opportunity to hear the many ways that coordinators embed eSmart practices throughout their school community. The event is designed to encourage attendees to exchange ideas that they can then apply at the place of learning where they work. A participatory meeting, those taking part should bring an eSmart resource along with them, or a specific story of a challenge or success their school community has experienced to share at the event.
The meeting will take place at Quest Narre Warren on Princes Highway and Verdun Drive in Narre Warren on Tuesday, March 22.
