Narre Warren to host emo event

A venue in Narre Warren is hosting an evening dedicated to emo music.

Presented by EMO NEVER SLEEPS and Ain’t It Fun, the new event is entitled “Bad Habits – Narre Warren Emo Night”. Venues hosting specialist music events like this can sometimes use poster printing services to create branded advertisements to encourage attendance.

Emo is a rock music genre characterised by songs with a strong emphasis on expressing emotion, often accompanied by confessional lyrics. It first emerged in the US capital Washington DC as a style of hardcore developed from 1980s American punk. Pioneered by bands like Embrace and Rites of Spring, it was originally known as emocore or emotional hardcore, before being shortened to emo.

DJs will play records from well-known emo bands throughout the night like My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, Green Day, Blink 182, Stand Atlantic and many more. This will give emo fans a chance to dance to anthems like “I Walk Alone”, “I Miss You” “Welcome to The Black Parade” and “Numb”.

The Bad Habits emo music night will be held at the Empire Club at 14-22 Lauderdale Road in Narre Warren from 10 pm on Friday, December 17 until 4 am on Saturday, December 18.

Tickets for the upcoming event are priced between $15.86 and $24.90, and are available for those aged 18 and over. ID is required for admission.
