Amateur anglers and fishing enthusiasts alike in Narre Warren are invited to attend the upcoming 2021 Rowville Lakes Free Family Fishing Day.
Organised by the Knox Boat Fishing Club, the free event is intended to help promote responsible angling, and there will be plenty of experienced help on the day to help eager kids looking to catch a fish.
Known for sporting several freshwater species, including trout, redfin and carp, the lakes are regularly restoked with fresh trout fingerlings every school holiday, ensuring plenty of fish will continue to inhabit the popular fishing spot. On the day, attendees can pre-register for a specially allocated fishing window at key locations around the lake.
Those waiting for their allocated time, or looking to come along without pre-registering, can enjoy a spot of social fishing in the adjoining lake. Family and community events such as this can benefit from poster printing to help to advertise key information to potential attendees.
With prizes and show Bags available for attendees, the competition will likely be fierce, as anglers of all ages seek to land the biggest trout of the day. Food and drinks will be available for sale at the event.
