Narre Warren hip-hop dancers to compete in Vegas

A group of Casey hip-hop dancers from A2D Dance Studios in Narre Warren recently beat its rivals at the Hip Hop International event in Collingwood and is now set for an even bigger and more exciting challenge.

The talented group of youngsters is heading to Las Vegas to compete in the World Hip Hop Dance Championship that will take place this August. 55 worldwide crews will be taking part in the competition but it is this Casey hip-hop crew who will be representing Australia.

The dance team is of course delighted with their recent triumphs and with the competition it now faces in Vegas. 13-year-old member Kaylah Gatt lives in Narre Warren North and is amazed that her love of hip-hop is now giving her the chance to visit the U.S. She recently said:

“I've been dancing for 10 years and I've done all styles, but hip-hop was the one that I liked the most. I never thought it would take me overseas."

The hip-hop championship will be demanding for the young dancers, with a number of rounds and crew members planning to stay in Vegas for around two weeks.

However, the main priority at the moment is to raise funds for the trip. The crew needs $17000 and will hold a concert to raise funds at Cardinia Lakeside on July 22. When trying to raise money, organisers often use poster printing and flyer printing to spread news of their different fundraising activities. Narre Warren residents should look out for materials like these so they can get involved and support the crew.
