Learn about epilepsy at Narre Warren seminar

The Epilepsy Foundation and the City of Casey are coming together tomorrow, June 20, to provide those living and working in Narre Warren with vital information about Epilepsy.

Epilepsy is a common condition and information shows a number of people in the Narre Warren and surrounding areas are affected by it. This seminar has been developed to provide those who have epilepsy and the families and friends of sufferers with important information and advice.

Graeme Shears from the Epilepsy Foundation of Victoria recently said:

“Epilepsy is a common medical condition that will affect around four per cent of the population at some stage in their life, and we are seeing an increasing need for information and services in the Narre Warren area.”

Issues to be covered during the seminar include triggers and causes, safety, lifestyle factors, seizure types, diagnosis and treatment and how to live comfortably and happily with epilepsy. This seminar is of great value to the community and should not be missed.

Shears continued:

“We believe it is important that people have the opportunity to learn more about this condition, the treatment options and how to manage epilepsy, so we have specifically targeted this area for one of our seminars.”

This workshop will provide a huge amount of valuable information about epilepsy and will probably use verbal presentations and materials from printing companies such as information sheets and Booklets.

This free seminar will take place at City of Casey Civic Centre tomorrow and will run from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
