Coles upgrade to improve shopping experience for residents

Narre Warren residents who shop at the nearby Coles store at Eden Rise Shopping Centre can look forward to a whole new retail experience in 2017.

Eden Rise Coles manager Chris Anderson said future marketing via Flyers and Brochures will detail the changes, including innovations such as an online shopping service and a totally revamped store.

The new-look store, he said, will also provide additional jobs for up to 60 new staff members by mid-2017.

Features of the new store will include an open meat counter, in-store bakery, and a continental deli that will host an olive bar, as well as stock imported and local cheeses.

The current assisted checkouts complete with POS printing will be expanded to include two express registers.

Anderson said the store will also be introducing the online `Click and Collect’ service in about July next year, which will allow residents to undertake their grocery shopping while still at home.

He said the changes reflect just how committed Coles is in delivering quality and service to the local community.

Sharing the wide range of upgrades currently being undertaken with local shoppers, he added, was the most exciting aspect of the changes.

He said this was particularly the case in respect to the new `Click and Collect’ system of online shopping, which is due to begin operating within the next few months.

Anderson said the service will be more convenient and save time for the outlet’s many local shoppers.
