Business mentoring events to be held in Narre Warren

Cardinia Shire Council and the City of Casey have joined with the Small Business Mentoring Service to offer mentoring sessions to local business operators.

In all areas of business, it is good to have a mentor, someone who knows the ropes. A mentor is someone to run ideas past and take problems to, knowing that they will listen and offer the benefit of their experience. Although every business is different, there are many things that all businesses have in common and every challenge has been faced and overcome by someone else.

As part of the sessions, business mentors can advise new or existing business owners about issues such as creating a business plan, how to access and monitor finances, effective staff management and how to market and grow a business. Services such as this often use brochure printing services to provide materials informing the community of what they can offer.

Thanks to subsidies from the councils involved, businesses will be able to access a free 45-minute mentoring session at either Narre Warren or Pakenham on selected dates from March to October.

The Narre Warren events will be held at Casey Cardinia Business Hub Level 2, 66 Victor Crescent and the Pakenham events at Toomah Community Centre, 18 Golden Green St. Business owners wanting further mentoring sessions can book and pay for subsequent sessions through the Small Business Mentoring Service.
