Businesses in Narre Warren and across the City of Casey are being urged to enter the 2021 Business Awards.
Nominations are now open for small and large businesses in four specific categories, including resilience, employment, business leadership and innovation. Participants will be vying for cash prizes, as well as the chance to gain additional business exposure through promotions and networking with many other business people in the local community.
Applicants will also be given an opportunity to engage in programmes for business development, including a number of invite-only workshops that will focus on the category themes of the awards, together with free mentoring.
The achievements of local businesses should be recognised in ways such as the awards, according to Casey's Administrator Chair Noelene Duff, who said many local firms were simply amazing in what they were doing for the area. She said the process for submitting applications had also been streamlined down to five questions to make it quicker and easier for businesses to take part, as many were time poor.
Duff encouraged all local operators to participate, not just for the recognition and additional promotion received, but also to connect with Casey’s network of business owners and to benefit from industry experts' feedback.
Awards such as these have often also provided participants with a chance to network and exchange Business Cards with fellow business operators.
Applications must be submitted by April 8. This will be followed by an announcement of finalists on May 13 and winners on June 25.
