If the cold and wintry weather is getting Moorabbin locals in the mood for some snow-based fun in a winter wonderland, the upcoming Springvale Snow Fest 2016 could be the perfect event for them.
The main attraction of the event will undoubtedly be the two real snow zones, where for an entry fee of $4, everyone can have some winter fun in real snow delivered directly from Mt Buller.
Those not so keen on snowmen and snowball fights will be able to take in the majestic ice sculptures, watch the performing street artists or enjoy some live performances on the event’s main stage. There will also be an extensive range of food, drink and market stalls, and lots of free activities for the kids too.
As the festival’s reputation grows every year, so does the attendance; through a combination of word of mouth and advertising through Flyers, organisers are expecting over 35,000 people to visit the event this year.
This will be the award-winning festival’s third year and it will be held on July 24 from 12:00 pm 7:00 pm on Buckingham Street, Springvale, which is within easy walking distance of nearby suburbs such as Mulgrave, Moorabbin, and Clayton.
Information about parking, suggested transport routes, main stage running order and activity costs can be found on the event’s website.
