Retirement preparation seminar to take place in Moorabbin

People in Moorabbin and the City of Kingston have the opportunity to attend a free seminar to learn about planning for their retirement.

The seminar will be conducted by Equip, which has been helping Victorians save for their retirement since its inception within the State Electricity Commission in 1931. Councils often use brochure printing to let residents know what events are being offered locally.

Attendees will be taken through the steps they need to take to ensure that their transition to retirement is smooth and free of stress. They will learn how a pre-retirement checklist can help make sure that they have considered all the most important factors and how to work out how their superannuation can be combined with the Age Pension to give the retirement lifestyle that they are looking forward to.

Things that can be done to top up superannuation and how to make retirement income last will be covered as will other factors such as reducing hours and planning goals to make the move from work into retirement a positive change of lifestyle.

The seminar will be held at Kingston City Hall, on the Nepean Highway in Moorabbin on Wednesday 15th May. Registration is from 5:45pm with the presentation starting at 6:00pm. Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be provided. For details see the council website or contact Equip.
