A band known for their 80s inspired pop music will now be performing live in Melbourne in the new year.
Fans of pop and synthesiser music from around Moorabbin and other parts of the city, will soon get their chance to see Sunset Rollercoaster in concert when they play a set this January at the Forum Melbourne. Famous city music venues often make good use of flyer printing services to create colourful leaflets advertising the gigs they host to potential ticket buyers.
After winning “Best Band” at the most recent Golden Melody Awards, the group will now be making their first ever trip to Australia. The band’s unusual name comes from a photo booth picture that the group took for their MySpace account’s profile picture which featured a rollercoaster with a sunset behind. Playing together, the five-piece band blend synth-pop with 80s-inspired sounds, the 5-piece-band to make romantic music that has been described as sweet, comforting, and groovy.
Their best-known track to date is “My Jinji”, a hit from the band’s three-tack EP entitled “Jinji Kiko” which has already earned millions of streams on Spotify and more than a million views via YouTube.
From 8 pm until 10 pm, Sunset Rollercoaster will be live on stage at the Forum Melbourne on Saturday December 17. The venue can be found at 154 Flinders Street, Melbourne.
