Moorabbin locals are invited to attend an upcoming silver clay workshop, which is coming to the suburb in August.
The workshop will be facilitated by Laneway Learning, which offers interactive and affordable community programs.
Workshop attendees will learn how to use silver clay to create mini charms.
Silver clay is a malleable product containing powdered silver. After it is fired in a kiln, the clay burns away and the creation becomes solid silver.
Participants will learn the techniques and tools needed to work with silver clay, and basic tips to sculpt wearable jewellery. They’ll also cover mark-making and embossing.
The charms will be fired in a microwave kiln, and attendees will learn how to polish and fill their charms and explore ideas for other silver clay projects.
Organisers of community arts projects can use Logo Design to accentuate their marketing and draw wider interest from the local area.
The Introduction to Silver Clay workshop will be held on Monday, 11 August 2025. It will be held at the Kingston Arts Centre. The Centre is located at 975-985 Nepean Highway, Moorabbin, VIC 3189. The workshop starts at 6:30PM and finishes at 9:00PM. Tickets are priced at $30. This covers the cost of materials for the workshop. The workshop is open to attendees aged 16+.
