Moorabbin to present festive wine event

A Christmas market focused on fine wines from France is being held in Moorabbin this summer.

Wine enthusiasts and other Moorabbin residents will soon get a chance to refill their rack or cellar ahead of the festive season. French wine specialist Clos Cachet will be hosting its yearly Christmas Warehouse Market in the suburb later this year to provide samples of its leading stock for all attending to try and buy.

Wine merchants and other industry professionals participating in events like markets and tasting sessions often bring along branded Business Cards they can exchange with others in their field.

Renowned for helping Australians access fine wine from France that are tough to track down, Clos Cachet will be uncorking 35 cuvees and showcasing Bordeaux, Burgundies and Champagnes. The market will also feature an “Explorer’s Table” designed for aficionados keen to taste wine from Alsace, the Rhone Valley and the Loire valley.

Guests of the event will enjoy a glass of rosé when they arrive, light food to accompany their tastings and a 10 per cent discount on wine purchases. There will also be opportunities to win a bottle of wine during blind tastings on the day.

The Christmas Market will take place at Clos Cachet Warehouse on Saturday, December 13. The event will get underway at 12.30 pm and finishes up at 5 pm. The venue is located at 20 Capella Cres in Moorabbin.
