Moorabbin to host female business event

A local business meeting designed for businesswomen is set to take place in Moorabbin.

Moorabbin’s Victory Lounge has been selected as a location for an upcoming event series entitled “Melbourne Mentor Mornings”. Local venues hosting business-related days often enlist the aid of flyer printing services to advertise opportunities in libraries and community centres.

The morning is organised by Business in Heels, which is supported by a selection of female leaders from Melbourne who are offering their skills and experience to others seeking to access the benefits of business mentoring.

The event is designed for professional women in the Moorabbin area who feel overwhelmed and unsure about their business or are looking for ways to explore new directions and overcome roadblocks.

According to the event’s organisers, 50 per cent of women in business receive no mentoring, but they state that mentoring can fast-track results, with mentees more than five times more likely to enjoy promotion than those without.

Mentors taking part in the Melbourne Mentor Mornings include Caitlin Carson, Deb Donehue, Kimberley D Downes, Patricia Stewart, Jocelyn Chong and Nicole Tumiati, among others.

The July edition of Melbourne Mentor Mornings will be held at the Victory Lounge at 416 Collins Street, Moorabbin, on Thursday, July 14. The event will begin at 7.15 am and end at 8.30 am. Tickets are priced at $20 per person.
