A popular live act playing pop rock are set to perform in Melbourne this September.
Fans of home-grown music around Moorabbin and other Melbourne suburbs will soon get a chance to see Australian pop rockers Thirsty Merc in concert. For one night, only the band will be storming the stage of 170 Russell in the coastal capital to play a set-list of tracks from their four studio albums.

With more than 250,000 album sales to their credit, Thirsty Merc have become champions of the Australian music scene. Their hit single “20 Good Reasons” was a finalist for APRA Song of the Year, and reached the number one spot on iTunes Australia. To date, the band have received five ARIA nominations.
The band currently consists of Rai Thistlethwayte on vocals, guitar and piano, Phil Stack on bass guitar and Matt Smith on guitar. Infusing the band’s music with his R&B and jazz influences, Thistlethwayte has described the sound of Thirsty Merc as “Rock Sinatra”.
