Entertainer Joe Piastrino is set to pay tribute to Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, and other legends of rock when he appears at the Sandbelt Hotel in Moorabbin, Victoria.
The Melbourne-based artist has built up a dedicated following for his high energy shows in which he skilfully portrays the rock’ n’ roll greats in a dynamic, action-packed stage presentation.
Piastrino not only appears as the mega stars he impersonates, but is also said to possess the unique talent to instil their character, image, and voice into each performance.
His show features tributes to the Big ‘O’, Elvis, Dion, Buddy Holly, Paul Anka, the Drifters, and The Belmonts.
Passionate about the music, the artist believes that by recreating the songs of these great legends, he is helping to keep both their music and memory alive for the enjoyment of future generations.
Piastrino’s performance has been enjoyed by audiences on P&O Cruise ships, at corporate functions, river cruises, weddings, and shopping centres. He has also been a popular guest artist on television shows, clubs, and other venues throughout the country.
The star’s appearance at the Sandbelt Hotel in the Roy Orbison & The Legends of Rock concert on June 21st will also feature a special tribute to The Drifters. Poster printing advertising the event depicts Joe as Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, and Elvis, and with such a selection of music on the program the night is certain to rock.
