A legendary pop band from the 70s are set to perform live in Victoria later this year.
Lovers of reggae-infused pop from Moorabbin and other suburbs of Melbourne will soon get a chance to hear English icons 10cc when they play St Kilda in June.
Described by modern critics as a missing link between Blur and the Beatles, 10cc formed in 1972, with all its members capable lead singers and multi-instrumentalists. Initially comprised of Lol Creme, Kevin Godley, Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman, the group enjoyed commercial success throughout the 70s.
10cc are renowned for their unusual album covers, like “Deceptive Bends” which featured the band in old-fashioned diving suits. However, their iconic Logo Design was updated with a bold font with a star centred in the zero for their greatest hits albums like “I’m Not In Love: The Essential 10cc” and “10cc: the Things We Do For Love”.
The band’s name originates from a dream experienced by producer Jonathan King, the man who first signed them to a record label. Those attending the Victoria gig will hear a set-list packed with hits which may include “Dreadlock Holiday” and “I Don’t Like Cricket – I Love It”.
10cc will now play The Palais on Sunday, June 25. The venue is located on Lower Esplanade in St Kilda and the show will run from 6pm until 10pm.Get a Free Quote for Logo Design
