The City of Kingston in Victoria has provided business owners and staff with the opportunity to attend free wellbeing information sessions as part of the Kingston B-Well service.
The last session was held in May at Westall Community Hub to support nearby businesses in the Moorabbin, Heatherton and Mentone triangle.
Available to all businesses in the City of Kingston, the service offers business owners and their staff the opportunity to improve mental health and reduce workplace injury. The programme is run in conjunction with Central Bayside Community Health Services (CBCHS) and has come about through the council’s wish to support businesses in the city, which total of over 17,000.
Staff health strategies are a considerable expense for small companies, and this service will reduce that cost. The service is free to access as a result of the partnership between the council and the non-profit CBCHS service. Poster printing campaigns, with Posters displayed in the workplace, are helpful to inform staff of free, confidential services like this.
Surveys have shown that a strong focus on health and wellbeing leads to a happier and more engaged workforce, resulting in decreased absenteeism and increased productivity. Calculations reveal that for every $1 invested in health and wellbeing, workplaces will save $5.81.
Interested businesses can contact CBCHS via phone or visit its website to enquire about developing a tailored programme for the workplace.Get a Free Quote for Posters
