A renowned indie band from Britain with a massive Australian following will perform live in Melbourne.
Loved by Australian and UK audiences alike, Brit band The Wombats are playing Melbourne soon, allowing their fans in Moorabbin and other suburbs to see them in action. The group’s 2022 national tour of Australia will also take them to Sydney, Perth, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart to complete a seven-show excursion across the country. Tour promoters will often use professional poster printing services to create advertisements of all shapes and sizes to encourage attendance at concert dates.
The upcoming tour of Australia will follow a host of huge shows back in the UK. The Wombats have been confirmed to play the main stage at both the Leeds and Reading Festival, along with Neighbourhood Weekender 2022. They are also embarking on a nationwide UK tour in-between their festival dates.
The Wombats consist of Matthew Murphy on guitar and lead vocals, Tord Øverland Knudsen on keyboards and bass guitar, and Dan Haggis on drums. Since their first album in 2006, Girls, Boys and Marsupials, which was only ever released in Japan, the band has gone from strength to strength selling more than a million records worldwide.
The Wombats will be onstage at the John Cain Arena at Olympic Boulevard in Melbourne on Friday, June 10.
