Tickets are on sale for the annual gala fundraising dinner to aid the Council’s HeART of Kingston Charitable Fund.
The meal, which will also feature an auction, will round off a hectic month of fundraising activities that also included an art show, which raised $5,000.
Local artists from Kingston suburbs including Moorabbin, Victoria, generously donated art for sale at the show, which featured a display of about 260 works at the Woodlands Golf Club.
Considered an important annual fundraiser, the HeART show continues to attract great interest from local art lovers. It is put together by the Aspendale Rotary Club and the City of Kingston council.
Local flyer printing helps spread the word of the popular event throughout the community.
The mayor of Kingston, Cr Paul Peulich, said the show was made possible by the many volunteers who help bring it to fruition each year.
He said the event never failed to present a diverse mix of artwork and thanked everyone involved, including Woodlands Golf Club, Lowe Construction, and the Parkdale Secondary College students who helped put it together.
Cr Peulich encouraged the community, individuals, and businesses to support the Gala Dinner and auction on October 3rd.
A number of organisations have also shown their support in kindly donating goods for the auction.
The HeART of Kingston Charitable Fund assists many worthwhile charities in the local community. Charities can also apply for a grant from the fund.
