Melbourne is set to play host to one of Australia’s most popular events dedicated to gin.
Those who enjoy the juniper berry infused spirit gin in Moorabbin and other suburbs will soon get a chance to celebrate their favoured libation in Melbourne. Dubbed “Junipalooza”, the upcoming occasion will gather gin makers, distillers and drinkers beneath one roof to showcase the best labels from around Australia and the rest of the world.
The event takes its name by combining an abbreviation of juniper, gin’s important ingredient, juniper, and the popular term for a promotional party, “palooza”. Those organising events to advertise products to the public sometimes use branded Promotional Products as giveaways to guests to encourage them to purchase.
Designed to allow gin fans a chance to meet the makers, Junipalooza will feature experts from over 50 different distilleries sharing samples and stories about the sprits they produce. All labels available for tasting at the gin event can also be bought from a built-for-purpose store onsite, allowing attendees to take home a tasty memento. The Melbourne celebration will be the fifth edition of the successful event.
Junipalooza will be held at The Timber Yard, situated at 351 Plummer Street in Port Melbourne on Friday, October 21. The event will run from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and is only suitable for those aged 18 or over.
