DARE2B youth conference to help young people explore full potential

Whitelion Youth Agency is holding a youth conference aimed at inspiring young people to make the most of their lives.

The conference seeks to prevent young people from disengaging with the education system and help them avoid negative life experiences from social or peer pressures which might impair their ability to succeed.

The event will include a careers expo, workshops on wellness, yoga and mindfulness, and will have speakers from a variety of industries and entertainment. Presenters volunteer their time to speak to attendees about their life experiences in their career.

The conference will also showcase the support services available to help young people make decisions about their future and strive to reach their personal goals. The target audience is people from 15 to 18 years old, especially those at risk of dropping out of the education system and those from CALD, Koorie or refugee backgrounds who might not be aware of the opportunities that are out there.

Organisers often use poster printing and flyer printing to create awareness of events such as this.

The Dare2B Youth Conference will be held at Kingston Town Hall, Moorabbin on Thursday 25th July, Geelong Waterfront Campus on Thursday 15th August and Batman Royale in Coburg on Thursday 5th September.

Entry is free but attendees must register and choose the workshops they wish to attend beforehand.
