David Carey from Foxey’s Hangout winery on the Mornington Peninsula will be holding a tasting of red wine varieties and also sharing the story of the winery at a Meet the Maker event in August.
Carey will introduce attendees to the entire range of reds from Foxey’s Hangout, including pinot noir and shiraz, and share his knowledge of the wines and wine-making process. He will also relate some of the history of the local wine-growing area and of the establishment and growth of Foxey’s Hangout itself.
Brothers Tony and Michael Lee were successful Melbourne restaurateurs who put their love and knowledge of wine to good use when they began a small vineyard on the Peninsula. Specialising in the cool-climate wines for which the area is renowned, for the brothers now have three small vineyards and produce a range of wines, including many award-winners.
Wineries often use brochure printing to create easy reference leaflets to assist buyers in their search for the perfect drop.
The masterclass will be held at Grape and Grain, 14-16 Station St, Moorabbin on Thursday, August 8 from 7:00-8:30pm. Ticket cost is $45 and tickets can be purchased online. To complement the wines, there will be a charcuterie board included in the ticket cost.
As tickets are limited, anyone wishing to attend is encouraged to grab their tickets quickly before they sell out.
