The Small Business BIG Marketing event
Small Business BIG Marketing is a half-day marketing event that will take place at Melbourne Park Function Centre on August 25. The event will run from 8am to 1pm and admission is $40. Some of those working in the Braeside industrial suburb will most likely be attending this event. Many small businesses rely on marketing for their survival, using tactics like flyer printing and advertising, so lessons learned at events like this are crucial to their success.
The event will include seminars on marketing, an exhibition of products and a chance to network with fellow business owners. Key speakers for Small Business BIG Marketing will be Naomi Simpson of Red Balloon, Simon Hammond of Bastion Brands and Ross Cameron of Cameron Research. Topics covered will include practical marketing skills and small business marketing tools. Marketing services suppliers will be promoting their products and services, there will be a Consultant’s Corner and those attending will get many opportunities for networking. There will also be door prizes.
The event also features two 20-minute workshops; one presented by Tim Reid of the Ideas Guys will teach businesses all about branding and its importance to business success and the second workshop will be on the topic of 10 Marketing Initiatives to Implement in 10 Days.
Survival for any small business can come down to how well they handle the marketing side of their business. It is important that any business owner attend at least one of these types of events a year in order to keep in touch with new ideas and services.
