A Richlands football club is holding sessions designed for young people to have fun while learning the elementary skills of the sport this year.
Families in the area can now sign their children up to a special programme organised by Lions Football Club, the suburb’s soccer team. Titled the “Fun Based Clinic”, the initiative is running in winter and is aimed at children who are taking the first steps on their football journey.
Sports associations and clubs operating courses, classes and clinics for children sometimes include their official Logo Design on promotional materials, like the Richlands FC emblem featuring a lion in blue, orange and white.
The entry level event has been designed to prioritise early player touches on the ball. With a strong focus on fun, the sessions provide a supportive environment for learners to develop new skills. The exercises involved are also featured in the club’s continuing after-school programmes for young people living in the suburb and the surrounding areas.
The Lions FC July Fun Based Clinic 2026 launches on Tuesday, July 7 and runs until Thursday, July 9. The sessions will be held between 9 am and 12 pm at the Lions FC Stadium, which can be found at 133 Pine Road in Richlands.
