Australia Day to be celebrated in style in Richlands

Fun for all the family is guaranteed for those living near The Lion in Richlands as part of the Australia Day celebration.

Australia Day is about reflecting on the history and highs and lows of the story of Australia, starting with the landing of the First Fleet in 1788. The celebration is about recognising the nation, its achievements and the people who made it all possible whilst also recognising the historical influences and importance of the indigenous population.

People attending The Lions will be able to choose food and drink throughout the day, some of which will be Australia-themed, such as an Iced Lamington Mocha or something from the Australia Day Restaurant Special menu. Often, menus and boards listing special items will be produced locally at print shops.

To help keep youngsters happy, there will be Dot Art Painting and Australian Animal Crafts. Additionally, there will be games and face painting as part of the entertainment.

Later on in the evening, there will be twenty Australian-themed hampers to be won, with entries being awarded for every $10 spend.
