Caboolture to host first aid training in mental health

A course covering mental health first aid is set to be held in Caboolture in the new year.

A new training opportunity called “Become a Mental Health First Aider” is offering Caboolture residents a chance to add a new skill to their CV this summer. The course from Mental Health First Aid Australia will run from late January into early February at the Centenary Lakes Sports Club.

The course is ideal for both professional people seeking to supply assistance to staff or anyone looking to help friends experiencing mental health problems.

Organisations and institutions offering practical training courses and workshops often enlist the skills of professional brochure printing services to create informative Booklets detailing all topics covered.

Statistics show that around one in every five Australian adults suffer a common mental illness every year. The training course is designed to teach participants practical skills to help provide support for a person experiencing a mental health problem, and to make a difference to others in their community.

The two-day “Become a Mental Health First Aider” training course will take place at Centenary Lakes Sports Club between January 29 and February 6. The club can be found at 16 Stringfellow Road in Caboolture. Admission to the course is $150 per person, and refreshments like coffee, tea and biscuits are included in the price.
